El Cerdo, Changkat, KL

Father's Day just passed. This time we booked our dinner celebration at Elcerdo, Changkat. Cause Nick's dad has craving for their suckling pig and all the dishes since the last time we went one year ago..

Here we are....
El Cerdo
43 & 45 Changkat Bukit Bintang, 50200 Kuala Lumpur
Contact: +60321450511 or +60133094197

The outside view.
The interior view. We reach at 645pm, still not crowded yet. It was soon packed by 730pm....
The famous saying in El Cerdo - nose to tail eating...

First the complimentary started bread...
The jam was nice.

We order most of the chef recommended dishes.

1. Grilled Pork Shoulder Steak RM 48
- marinated for 48 hours in Paprika, herbs, onions, garlic and served with Jalapeño and smoked paprika sauce.

We orders two dishes cause one not enough for all 7 of us...

2. Oven Roasted Inerico Spare Ribs RM 88
- served with pineapple salsa

I love this one the most....

3. Crispy Pork Knuckle RM 98 ( for 2-3 persons)
- served with potato dumplings, sauerkraut, apple mousse, and mustard beer sauce.

4. "Cochinillo Al Estilo Segoviano"
Roasted Suckling Pig
RM 188 for half piglet - for 2 persons
RM 358 for whole piglet - for 4 persons
- served with roasted baby potatoes and house salad
We order half piglet...

As ritual, they have this session for us to 'chop' the piglet with plates and throw the plate into the bucket...

Our piglet is the number 50,611 piglet sold from this restaurant !
And they have this promotion - to collect 5 piggy tags to redeem 1/2 piglet.

The suckling pig after the whole chopping ritual ..

The group photos....

Complimentary Dessert for Fathers
5. Brown Brownies with Pistachio Ice Cream

Complimentary Gifts for Fathers
6. Polaroid picture with Handmade photo frame + Affligem Beer

Complimentary cocktails.
The staff is very observant by the way. Knowing I am a preggy, they purposely substitute one cocktail with fruit juice for me....

The bill goes up to RM 800 plus , so we got the voucher for The Whisky Bar and Opium, their partner bar I guess ....

We went to the Whisky Bar for after-dinner drink.

Till then.
